I like what Rainboy had to say a lot. He is right, it is important to never talk down to a boy but rather to communicate with him on a more equal basis. But the thing I would add is that a good AF is also a good listener. I know that the one thing my YF loved about me was that I was always willing to listen to him...seriously listen to him. It is amazing how much he truly appreciated that.
