Christian BoyLove Forum #63591
First of all, thank you for sending me the Mini Beats video, I LOVE it. Unlike some of the other responders of your post, I feel it is a terrible thing to keep Christmas, Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Easter out of the day care center. These are just young kids for crying out loud and those holidays are fun times for kids. I know that when I was a kid I really loved those holidays and really looked forward to them. Christmas most of all, but they were all fun. Ok, so maybe they shouldn't be celebrated on the dates when they are celebrated, and maybe some of the ways we observe them have questionable roots, but so what? Kids don't care about all that, they just want to have fun. Why deprive them of that? The whole world is full of so much crap that isn't fun nowadays, why take that away from them? I feel sorry for the children of Jehovah Witnesses and any Christian families that do not observe the holidays. I can't imagine growing up without Christmas or Easter or Thanksgiving, or even Halloween. Those were some of the funnest and most memorable times of my childhood.
However, since your boss owns that business, unfortunately he has the right to impose whatever rules he wants, as long as they are within the law. I'm not sure, but I think that he probably isn't breaking any laws by what he is doing. There is no law that says you have to observe these holidays...not that I know of anyway. |
