Whether or not "that way of thinking" just gives nonbelievers even more reason to stay non believers doesn't make it not true. Cat is basing his beliefs off of what the Bible teaches him. You seem to be making logic of it out of your own understanding. And whether or not you have a problem with predestination doesn't make it true or not true.
