Is there any possibility it could have been an accident? When there is no explanation why a person would commit suicide then we should look at other causes.

No matter what the cause of death, there is here a removal of a life from the earth. It is our loss and we grieve. Elsewhere on earth another new boy has been born and we can rejoice for the gift of him and all that he will bring to his family.

In Japan, in New Zealand, in Chile, just over the past few months earthquakes have taken so many people from the earth. In Libya, Tunisia and the Middle East the hand of man is taking so many people from the earth. It is a never ending story.

It seems to me that there is so much death by tragedy these days that it can become overwhelming. So, I feel admiration for you because of your sensitivity for this boy who died but I want you to also consider the birth of a boy somewhere else on earth and know that you are allowed to also rejoice for him. He will need the love of his parents and family. He may want or even need the friendship of a man such as you some day.

So use this tragedy and the grief you feel to change the life of another boy. For while we remember the dead, we experience the living. What I know is this. There are boys out there who need someone to come and bring love into their life. Be open to them and when one of them comes to you give him the same love that Jesus gives you, unconditional and always hoping for the best for him.
