This is a tough issue to discuss in a public place. I'm not surprised you didn't clarify what you meant by 'pornography.' All sorts of things that weren't classically considered pornography are put into that category by some people these days. Some people would call anything they find erotically exciting 'pornography,' even if it was the shirtless Justin Bieber pics in a family-values teen mag. If you happened, for example, to watch one of the thousands of youtubes showing cute objects of interest doing reggaeton dances, and that inspires some moments of erotic contemplation, I don't see it as being a problem. On the other hand, if you feel driven to collect classic porn-type images whose subjects, for all you know, may feel highly distressed by their existence, then you have another problem entirely. While looking at an image per se can't hurt anyone - to say otherwise is shamanistic spiritism - your conscientious mind can't easily omit the background information, which may be something you'd be quite uncomfortable with. That's not going to generate good feelings about yourself. Not like watching someone having an excellent time doing a clever dance in his underwear while his sister films him to make a youtube that delights both parties. |
