Being a bl sure has its downside. However, I just can't relate to what you describe. I assume all boys I run into are straight and I don't feel any different if that is proven true. When a yf gets a girlfriend, I feel happy for him; I share in his excitement and love to hear about their relationship. The only time it becomes an issue is when she is taking up all the time he used to spend with me...that can be difficult to accept. But I don't feel upset at all about his having a girlfriend, it's a beautiful thing. I'm not sure I agree that what we ultimately want is a gay boy. Im not even sure I would have as much in common with a gay boy as I do with straight boys.
