May I suggest an alteration, to make the sepatation of the attraction and the practice a bit more obvious? As you wrote above it could be inferred that the feeling is sinful.

I don't want to end up with something too wordy, but was thinking of something like "while we are given the attraction, acting on it sexually would be sinful".
