Hello Ken and it's nice to meet you.
It looks like we will have to agree to disagree on this one. I don't think the world we see about us, can be explained by a literal interpretation of the story of Genesis. Indeed to get a true idea of God there are two works of God that we can study. One is scripture (but as I have said, I do not follow a word for word interpretation) and the other is the World itself.
I may we upset a few here, but I think certain branches of the Christian Faith spend far to much time worried about sin. No wonder the Pope said we had a lot to learn from eastern religions. We should strive to become better people, to improve ourselves, it is this positive aspect that as Christians we must learn to emphasize.
Just a few rambling.
