*** It is my belief, based on personal childhood observations of other boys, that most boys will engage in simple homosex-play with other boys. What seems to happen as these boys grow older is that the influence of their male role models "teaches" them to be entirely straight. I do not beleive the absence of a male role model makes anyone gay - but I do believe the presence of a male role model is what STRONGLY ENCOURAGES us to be entirely straight. *** I agree, Rex. I believe it was my influence on the boy while he was 11-12 years old that encouraged him (or "taught" him) to be straight. He had already showed homosexual inclinations during this time, and seemed to "break free" of those thoughts and behaviors after my time with him. But, do all boys experience homoerotic thoughts as they group up? Do all boys have homosexual fantasies and wish for opportunities of homosex-play? Which boys don't and why? Are there other factors, besides having a strong male role model, that keep a boy on the "straight" and narrow? I know these questions have been dealt with before, and that there are many *theories* about these things. But it would be interesting to hear what other boylover experiences have been since it is rare that we get to speak with other boylovers outside a forum like this. ~Splash* |
