Thanks for the clarification Heather. I guess I am not as informed as I could be, since I am not familiar with the group Open Hands. I didn't realize you were quoting them. (I was too tired when I was reading your post). I have spent most of my time until now working with "mainstream" evangelical churches, gay youth organizations, and various GLBT ministries. I only became interested in boylove about 3 years ago, when I came to the realization that a couple of my older male friends were boylovers. So I probably don't know as much about the BL community as those of you who have been around for more years. But God has laid it on my heart that no form of oppression and prujudice is acceptable--that God loves boylovers as much as boys, since he created them both. (And I am firmly convinced that sexual immorality bothers God less than hatred and prejudice. Even C.S. Lewis said so in Mere Christianity, not to mention Jesus when he said to the Pharisees, "The tax collectors and prostitutes are going into the kingdom of heaven before you"). |
