I am not calling you stupid, as you have called most people here, but I think you are either misinformed or don't understand. I did not ask to be drawn to minor boys and would change it if I could. I'm glad that God, in His mercy, has helped you to change what you didn't like about yourself. Personally, I have fasted and prayed and sought psychiatric help in an effort to stop desiring boys. But God has not taken away my desire and I've found psychiatrists work on control and have no real *cure*. I don't blame God for what I am and I'm not mad at Him for not changing me. I gave Him permission to do whatever He wants with me long ago. So I live with it. My belief is that any sex outside marriage is contrary to what the Bible teaches, so I'm not a *practicing pedophile*, as you call it. I also have concerns of what a sexual relationship might do to a still emotionally developing boy, so that is another reason I refrain. I think the majority of the people here have similar views, though not all. But how others believe is between them and God, not them and me or them and you. Please remember that the words pedophile and child molester are not the same, just as alcoholic and drunk are not the same. I know this may be hard to remember since the media uses the two terms interchangably. But all pedophiles are not also child molesters. Being a pedophile is not a choice, being a molester is. |
