I am NOT a fundementalist. By my political and personal nature, I consider myself an anti-fundementalist (I despise what they do in the name of Jesus, confusing personal political outlooks with divine writ is a dangerous path) Our "discussions" earlier sprout from the fact that I do have a moral core. (but that's not the issue here) OK, you wanted Christian support... I don't think there is anything worng with sexual thoughts, dreams, even masterbation. That's part of the human condition, however, when it crosses the line and you become either 1) obsessed with your thoughts/desires or 2) a risk of committing sexual acts with a child then you are sinning. The example I have used before was Do I committ gluttony by going to the buffet? It's all I can eat, so am I committing "Deadly #3" buy shelling out $5.99, grabbing a plate and yelling "Charge!" ? Clearly if I do that every meal and to the exclusion of all else in my life (especially God and my fellow man) that is the sin of Gluttony. But what if I only do it every now and then? Have I committed the sin? Am I a sloth because I spent the day in sweatpants watching TNT westerns all day long? Sure, If my butt stays on the couch all the time thats a problem, but what about an occaional "vegi-day" after a long week? I don't think that sexual thoughts in ANY vein are bad. Thinking them is human nature, and their "type" is part of being your orientation. When they take over your life (ie porn addiction) then you are sinning. I also think to suppress sexual thoughts/fantasys is a harmful thing. They only make you HORNYER. Have a rich fantasy life. It's good for you. If you need to "play with yourself" to take the tension down, that's OK do it. (inside alone please, I don't need to see that, it you own buisness) And I forgotten my point.
