I feel alone in a way...

We almost all love boys... that's a given. We love the way they make us feel. We love making them feel good. We love spending time with them. But I've found very few people on here that ever talk about sharing faith with boys. We've heard from a few Christain teachers. A couple of camp counselors and I'm sure a few Youth Pastors lurk in our midsts. But not many people are openly talking about their love for telling boys about Christ. How many of you love to do it? I mean if you long to be close to a boy, there's nothing that has brought me closer to a boy than to talk with him about Christ. And like I've said before, There's NOTHING like holding hands with a boy as he prays to the Father to forgive him of his sins! because you realize at that very moment his ETERNITY is sealed! That no matter what happens, YOU WILL SEE HIM AGAIN! Isn't that amazing?! And as Christians we are called to WITNESS!!! With our love of boys... why wouldn't we just want to tell any boy we see? What stops us? Fear of society? I mean my goodness... Fear of what the boy thinks? That didn't stop Jesus! That didn't stop Peter and Paul! Jesus was so sick about leaving earth and the people he loved. Peter and Paul said in many of their letters-- not in so many words-- "I MISS YOU!" In Philippians it says, "I long for you with the love of Christ!" Peter and Paul started up churches and loved their congregation probably as much as we love the boys in our lives. So who here LOVES telling kids about Christ? It's what I LIVE FOR! Huck |
