Splash, i tried to write and thank you yesterday, but I didn't have a password for authentication. Just an update. My wife wanted me to "go get help" ie see a shrink. I was nervous about that, part of me seeing visions of what happened to that poor boy in the "molested" article in Paraklesis. My fears were unfounded. Mostly we covered a lot of the same ground that I did with Arvind. One big thing though. I have been sort of thinking about writing a long letter to my kids, to all of them, but perhaps most of all to my oldest boy, who is the middle kid. I would give it to a lawyer or something with instructions that it be delivered in ten years or so. There is no way that he could understand today at 7 years old. I have laid awake at night an composed it in my head. But I have not put finger to the keyboard on it. I now know why. I know that it would in effect become a suicide note. I know I can not leave this world and forever let my kids think that I abandoned them, or go away and not let them know why. I is one letter I now plan never to write. |
