Can't anyone attempt to answer my question?

In reply to yes, that's the Book for me submitted by Splash! on August 22 2001 02:49:37

I understand that the Bible is the cornerstone of your life. Christ is the cornerstone of mine, and I believe that my relationship with God and what He's given me in life is what I use as a means to validate, confirm, measure, guide, instruct, etc. It's understandable you feel very strongly about it.

But that is neither here nor there. Chanting Sunday School rhymes doesn't bring me any closer to understanding the WHY behind your statements. The only logic I can pull from your text is that you believe the Bible is the absolute moral authority because you don't have anything else to turn to in life.

I refuse to believe something simply because it's a priori to your current way of life. You cannot support something based on the fact that your worldview would be crushed without it. There are many who have sacred texts besides the Bible who could claim the same things about their works that you have. Faith without fact is foolishness. I'm not saying that's where you are in reality, but it's all I can draw from what you've said.

Why can't anyone answer the why? Someone make a compelling case. I feel like giving up.

Dive deep, seek peace, love forever,
Collin Maxwell
