People here keep insisting that rights are given by a god when they are very clearly given by legislatures. I could show you heaps of documentation - legislation detailing rights and privilages that our political institutions grant or deny to groups or individuals.

So why make the illogical and easily disproven assertion that your god grants me rights? The last time I checked there were no gods sitting in the U.S. Congress or the Canadian Parliament.

I don't believe in your god. So why must you keep telling me that it's your god who grants me rights? - especially given that I can so trivially prove you wrong.
