Free will means we can do things outside of God's will, which sometimes alters people's lives. God is in control, but being in control does not mean everything happens exactly as He would want it to in His perfect will. Being in control means that whatever happens, he uses it to accomplish his ultimate goals. If this were not true, we would never sin, because God does not want us to sin. There are psychos like Ted Bundy and Jeffrey Dahmer that did not choose to be the way they were either. They may have chosen to act on their warped desires, but did not choose to have those desires. Please don't tell me God made them that way. I'm using that as an extreme example. I am NOT saying boylovers fall into that class. And let me reiterate that I'm not saying God definitely did not make us as boylovers. I simply am saying we can't assume He did just because we didn't choose it. But I don't see this as a major stumbling block because God can use us for His glory no matter what we are or how we got that way. I see myself and other boylovers as having a gift to relate to and care for boys. Sometimes the sexual side of it gets in the way. But if we are committed to God, He can use the gift and help us control the sexual part. I am always encouraged by the fact that throughout the Bible, God used very imperfect people to get his message out. And He never said, "hey, get rid of your hang ups and then you can serve Me."
