Totally shocked when things happen to me like the things that happened last night. I was just brought into the church I serve as a volunteer youth leader. The head leader said asked me about last Saturday. Last Saturday, I decided to bring one of my boys bowling. He asked me if we could do something one on one. And seeing that he was going to miss our Thanksgiving outting, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to make it up to him because his birthday was last week. Well, I decided to grant him is wish by going out with him-- just the two of us. In retrospect, I found out this was a big mistake. Because mom for some reason freaked out. I got her permission, however she assumed that it would be with other kids, however, the boy and I both knew it would be just the two of us. The mother called up at least three church leaders and spazzed out on me over the phone with them. I really have no clue what's going on. I can't believe I'm getting punished for trying to make a kid smile. I can't believe that I'm being chastized because I tried to make friends with a kid. My motives are totally pure and of God. I just wanted to show this boy what a Godly man is like. I wanted to show him what Christ would do. Christ didn't make his disciples or anyone else come to Him. He WENT TO THEM!!!!!!!! I did nothing wrong. Just took the boy bowling for 2 hours, and brought him home. Needless to say, I was Totally shocked. |
