My own nick derives from my history, and reflects my confidence that 'if we confess our sins, God is faithful and just and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness.' (I John 1 v9) It's a good word that 'ALL' - nothing is excluded. So if you've repented that past stuff it's gone, and you don't need to feel burdened by it anymore. Of course your next problem is to find a church that is prepared live that truth out and treat you as any other forgiven sinner - i.e. like the rest of them. Understandably, but wholly wrongly, there is a tendency to turn our backs to those who have commited unfashionable sins - and the fear for children getting molested by the ped sometimes allows such a rejection to have a degree of legitimacy. I've undoubtedly been blessed to have found a church where I have found a good degree of acceptance, and have gained from its membership, two boys who are a major feature of my life - both now 20, though I've had them as part of my life since they were 14 (I'm in my early 40s). They know I'm a BL and yet still come round on a regular basis; of course it helps that my Age of Attraction is post-pubescent... They were really the only thing that made my life worth living a few years ago; though since my discovery of this board and the contacts I've made through it, they've become less overwhelmingly important. My own model for understanding how it all fits together is that of a disability - being a BL is a bit like being blind or deaf or in a wheelchair. For the rest of our lives we've got to live with the issue; sometimes it will be a major factor, sometimes it will be irrelevant, but one day it will all be over and we will be home with God and all the pain and struggle will be past.
