Besides giving me the shivers, your poem is beautifully written -- the tone, the rhythm, use of words... and in the form of an acrostic! I have a poem similar to it, and I keep thinking about posting it here, but it's been published under my real name. In it, I talk about Christians turning their backs on other Christians. We go so far to reach the lost and get them saved, and then when they become Christians and do wrong, we are quick to drop them, even kick them when they're down. My poem ends with the love of Jesus being the way to win people back -- not ignoring them or making things worse for them. You'd think that Christians, out of all people, would know this the most.

You mentioned Lamentations being the inspiration for that particular poem. What are your thoughts about Ecclesiastes? It's also a seemingly depressing book, but with a positive message -- or is it? It's one of my favorites. I wrote a poem once (also published) where I put the different themes of Ecclesiastes into my own words. Very depressing, but a lesson is learned.

I hope to hear from you soon. I've been digging into some more typologies and would like to share them with you, if you don't mind. I bet you'll see even more connections and similitudes in them than I saw.
