Since you posted a reasonable reply and not a flame, I'll try to explain what I said. I may be foolish for doing so after trying the same thing with AI with disappointing results in the past, but you are not AI and it's not right to lump you together just because you have similar views. You may think AI is deserving of much respect, but I have absolutely no respect for him at all. He has a deep hatred for Christianity and lets that hatred cloud his perceptions of what is said. He takes a single word or phrase (or quotation mark) and interprets it to mean the worst possible thing. He has even insisted over and over that things were said that never were. I challenged him to copy and paste one of his claimed insults and he was not able to do that and did not have the grace to admit he was wrong. If you want several examples of this, look in old posts. Just look for the posts with the longest threads. The way he, and now you, are going about your little war is doing more harm than good. If I had no other contact with gays other than AI, I would be writing my senators and congressmen right now demanding as many restrictions as possible on that wacko gay group. Remember that I'm a pedophile, so I know a little about what it's like to have people hate you simply because of your sexuality. And the way to gain acceptance is not to beat everyone with a different opinion than you over the head with insults and flame them. This forum isn't even about debates. It's about mutual support for Christian boylovers, but debates still do occur and there are also non-Christians here, which is fine. But how do you propose to persuade anyone of anything if you just pick on every single word they use and call them as many names as you can think of? You know, not everyone that has a differing opinion is a homophobe. And everyone's opinions (even homophobes') are deserving of the same respect you would want of yours. If you offer no respect for theirs, you will get no respect for yours in return. AI knows this. He isn't stupid. So I can only conclude that this is just fun for him. A way to "get back" at all the Christians that have done him wrong. (Uh oh, there are those damn quotation marks again) There are many ways to fight a war. The way you are fighting it just makes people more defensive and stubborn. I don't think AI is even fighting a war, at least not here. He's just having fun. Remember that gays, like pedophiles, are greatly outnumbered. We aren't going to win anything by force of numbers. So we have to persuade through reasonable dialog. And a lot of times, the people we try to persuade will still not agree. But every one who does rethink their position makes it one step closer toward the goal. My current goal for pedophilia is that people will stop condemning us simply because of out attractions, something the gay community has come a long way in achieving. But I won't accomplish that by blasting and flaming everyone at every anti-pedo site I can find. Your passion is admirable. But you have to decide whether you just want to have a good feeling after you blast "those damn homophobes," or if you really want to make a difference. BTW. Sorry for misspelling your name. Dakota |
