Here's what hit me over night

I was thinking about this in bed last night and it ocurred to me that there's a finer point that makes the matter even worse.

You say that there is free will involved on one hand and that we all have the choice to be holy or not. God is holy and MUST send to hell those who are not. If that option were not there, free will would not exist.

OK, but look at it this way:

On the other hand, Christians always say that it is impossible not to sin - that being holy is not something humans are capable of doing.

Aha - so where's the free will?

Looking at it this way, your god created a system whereby almost every human he ever created MUST burn in hell with no choice about the matter. Nothing he could do would save him from that.

Only a tiny fraction of humanity - those who subscribe to a particular belief, are able to escape. This group is so tiny that they don't even represent a statistically significant portion of human kind.

Everyone else is stuck. They don't have the ability to avoid hell on their own and since they are not or were not exposed to fundamentalist Christianity, they are doomed from the very moment they are born.

That's a pretty sad picture.
