>A young boy even though he may be willing to consent to sex with an >adult male is still to immature to realize the consequences of his actions If this were the main reason, then sexual relations between two or more children (no adults) would be even more wrong, as none of them is supposed to "realize the consequences". Would you prefer to let two children cross a busy street, or a child and an adult? An adult can try to realize the consequences of an action by means of his broader experience. This means that he takes full responsibility for the actions of the child, much in the same way as this happens in non-sexual contexts. If sexual relations between a boy and an adult were "totally wrong" as you affirm, we would never hear about positive relations. But this is certainly not the case. Apart from this, of course, there is the fact that Christian faith only allows sexual relations within marriage. In my opinion, this is the main reason why Christians BL's ought to avoid sex in their relations with boys. There are of course other good reasons, but I think that talking about "immaturity" and "consequences" is merely a kind of self-deception, making a virtue of necessity. WP |
