...not Aramaic though, pity.

Hi J

I am a married adult who is attracted to both boys and girls. I usually post at GirlChat and Common Ground as Sheepy.

I have the compared the NWT verse by verse, as a student of ancient writings (Homeric Greek and Latin, primarily), with the ancient Hebrew Scriptures, and the Greek Coine' as well as the with many English translations -- New and Otherwise. (You are correct about the King James being compromised.) and I've sought input from other professors who are/ were scholars of these languages. It appears that the JW scholarship you refer to, in connection with its original translation included many Bible Scholars who were no part of the religion as we know it today. The same is true of subsequent revisions to the NWT. I find today, that the close attention the NWT pays to verb tenses and noun declensions is superior. And the historical use of the Greek terms also sheds light upon thee need to refine the King James. The word torment, btw, originally meant jailer. Thus souls would be jailed in death forever and not made to suffer for no rehabilitative purpose. Remember even Job asked for his soul to be hidden in Hell (the common grave of mankind) until God's wrath had passed. Job 14: 12-15.

Too, I have yet to find an adequate explanation for the fact that all scripture refers to Jesus as the first born of all creation. (See Colossians 1:15 - 17, also Revelation 1:1 ; 3:14, Compare 1 John 5:18)

However, my belief that he is not God the Father, nor the father's equal, does not mean that I do not have a great deal of faith in him and in his teachings. Would that his insights into loving kindness were the observable rule and not the sad, though all the more so refreshing I suppose, exception.
Would that we were all one of purpose and love just as he and his Father are one. (compare John 17:11 -- 22)

I have to leave. But I am eager to pursue your insight into various translations. Obviously, I have no interest in the Book of Mormon. The doctrine that humans would become Kings and Queens (gods) of other planets is not scripturally supported.
