I like how you describe Blues as a "feel" kind of music. That's what it is to me also. I'm not a Blues purist at all, but I love a Blues feel to music... the difference in rhythm, the sometimes lazy-cool laid-back swing type of sound. I think I'll study up on it and see what I can put together. I can send something to you on a CD with a music program that will easily allow you to add your parts (as long as you have a microphone or line-in feed into your computer). All you do is push play and then... play! If it doesn't sound good, undo and try again. And then when it's all done, save it. If you don't have a CD-burner, you'll need someway to get it to tape (from your computer into your stereo), send it to me, and then I can do the final mix and put it back on CD for us both. Let me how I can do better (you're the Blues man not me), and we'll try again.

Yeah, I do know about Jimmie Vaughan, it's just that I don't think I've ever owned a CD by him. I'm sure I saw him perform with Stevie on Austin City Limits on PBS. And I do know about the Fabulous Thunderbirds. Didn't Stevie used to tour with them? Oh, and Double Trouble of course. It's good that you're able to find strength in their own abilities to kick some tough addictions. See, it is possible, amen?

I just remembered something... I have some Blues in my collection that I know you've never heard before -- not mine, but someone else's. I'd like to get your thoughts on it. When I dig it up, I'll send it to you, okay?

Hey, and thanks for your comments about my music. I look forward to sharing some of my older stuff with you as well. I recently made some of my newer music available to a larger audience, which is always a scary thing because our creations are almost like our children and it's not comfortable putting one's children under public scrutiny, but the feedback has been very positive which is now inspiring me to do better things. I actually have a whole concept album about something that happened in my past sitting right beside me here on CD that is totally complete (67 minutes); I'm just waiting to add vocals to it when I get a chance. Of course, that also means I need to write lyrics, which shouldn't be too hard because I already know what each song is about -- the music already "speaks" for itself.

That jazz artist I remind you of must definitely be a contemporary jazz artist, eh? haha. Maybe something like Medeski, Martin, and Wood which reminds me of some other songs I want to share with you. Man, where does the time go!! I have a ton of work to do this week. Just three more months, that's all, and I'll be able to relax. I think. :)

God bless you, Chris!
