Two days without end

A metaphor I know, but it wasn't that bad really. Tuesday 5th - Guy Fawkes Night (Fireworks Day in UK) Spent most of the day with El, still didn't visit where we were gonna go, but went to an-other-town instead. HE HAD HIS OWN MONEY TODAY & only asked me to pay his train fare as he'd forgotten his pass. He even gave me HIS MONEY to look after, so he wouldn't spend it. Throughout the day, yep I really hardly spent anything on him. He won big on the machines, gave me more to look after as he was seeing a soccor game in big-town (yesterday). He did con me out of $3.00 when I needed to change a coin for smaller currancy, he took it & left me short. He knew I wasn't happy about it. He did buy a load of sweets & like he does insisted that he'd share them with me. He told his brother that he was in Celadon, to throw him off the scent, but back at home-town, he did confess where he had really been with me. I also stayed for a long time in his home, sharing a couple of cuddly moments with Pichu, but El had the best of them with his brother, seating him on his lap, while they flicked through the channels on cable & we watched the Wrestling. (Glad to see KANE climbing the ranks again.) We then went to camp town all three of us, just to play pool. It was crowded this time, but we got two games in. Pichu beat El & then I beat Pichu. We also grabbed a couple of soft drinks & Pichu called an end to events cause as he saw it, their parents would be home when they got back. We parted company & L joined me for the evening. He showed me the footage he'd shot the other day, setting up the main story for the film he's making. He wants El to be in the film again. Without going into details, I'm gonna be a PROTECTOR, protecting El's charachter from some nasty dudes who want to kill him. (Sounds realistic enough.) The scenes were shot in the guys own language (not english) to set the scene & it was acted so well, considering these guys had about 1 hours acting experience between them. Wednesday 6th - Nearly lost Pichu today! Work over-ran & I didn't see Halloween Resurection, sorry Mr Myers will have to reschedule. I met up with Pichu & Brock late in the day, we didn't spend much, but these two did begin to show the money grabbing traits as well. Pichu wants me to back off the affection for a while, cause he doesn't know me that well, but to my surprise Brock says he doesn't mind, cause he enjoys it. Which I'm happy to continue doing. The big moment came when my big mouth got into play, during me trying to stop the money grabbing. I told Pichu that I'd talked about the money thing at WORK (not online). Big mistake, it really upset him. He said we couldn't be friends anymore, as he felt he couldn't handle it if people found out about it at his work. I felt really bad about it, tried to console him, but almost resigned to loosing him for good. They disappeared, I thought they'd caught the train home, but they came around the corner & Brock offered an apology, saying it was their fault for asking for money all the time. He'd convinced Pichu that I really was a good friend to him. They didn't know how much this money thing was hurting me. Pichu had cried about it, a lot. I saw them onto the train & Brock told me to phone later. I did, things settled down & time will see what happens next. I read through about 4 chapters of "Speaker for the Dead" sequal to Enders Game, I'm hooked on this one two. El was sleeping at his nans, but I'd vaigly hoped he would stay with me. He phoned at 04.00 this morning & we chatted about visiting an-other town again today. SUMMARY: Both of these boys Elekid & Pichu, have known a great deal of personal suffering in their lives, El mentioned it alone on Monday, Pichu confirmed it yesterday, but didn't want to bring back painful memories. I think I've worked out why El calls me Dad; it's psychological. To him I'm his REAL DAD, the one who cares about him, spends time & money on him & shows him affection. But when he's upset & angry, I'm also his NATURAL DAD, the one who abandoned them as young kids, the one who broke up the family & caused emotional damage to them both. He takes his anger out on me, cause I represent both the Dad he wants & the Dad he hates. This is a difficult thing to deal with, but I believe it's true. I've prayed again today for the money grabbing to STOP. Only God knows what will happen now, our friendships will be tested to the limits now! Halo |
