but don't you ever desire for someone to desire you equally. I mean, sure, I know how much a boy can love us, but they don't think about us even a fraction of the amount of time that we think about them. They also love their parent/s. You have to, in a way, share their affection. In an adult, mutual relationship, both parties crave the other one equally. That is what drives me to get married. I want someone that I know thinks and desires me as much as I do them. As I grow older, I can see the vast separation in the type of relationship I would like to have with a boy and the type I would like to have with a woman. When I'm with a yf, all the attention is pretty much on them. That is the nature of kids. But in the adult relationships I have had, I am equally thought about and show affection for. Another aspect I see is that a relationship with a child is unconditional love. Whereas, only that special adult someone will click with you, and fall in love, while any child whom you spend time with and care for will love you unconditionally. And then there is that little thing about sex. It is nice to have. And Paul does say that we should get married if we lust. I'm not trying to force you to feel any way, I'm just telling you what goes through my head regarding my love life. There was a time when women just weren't doing it for me. After my teenage sex drive stopped making me think about sex all the time. Then, after time, I started desiring a real relationship with a woman my age, that went beyond sex. In Christ RF |
