Things are changing, or there are cycles

If you look at any of the teenybopper magazines (magazines aimed at girls 8-14 years old) like BOP or Tiger Beat, you can get an idea of what young girls are into. A few years ago, I remember on more than one occasion being tempted to flip through a few issues. Those issues featured young boys like Aaron Carter and Hanson on the cover (this was a few years ago, so at the time Hanson and Aaron Carter were still young boys). In my youth, I remember seeing JTT on the cover frequently as well as Elijah Wood. Nowadays however, what Ive seen on the cover is Nsync, Back Street Boys, and other such older groups. 'Lil Bow Wow is the only truly young star whom Ive seen young girls go crazy over in recent years, and even he is now a teenager. Im not sure if times are changing and girls are liking guys of an ever increasing age now, or if these magazines work in cycles and are perhaps waiting for the next young talent to appear so that they can move Nsync, BSB, and the other so-called boy bands to the background.

The fact that these magazines have, during some periods of time, sold many copies featuring young boys like Aaron Carter, tells me that girls do indeed like boys their age.

Oh...I also had a girlfriend when I was 11...so, that might be an indication too.
