Why Us?

Why is it we that are afflicted with such temptation? What did we do to deserve such misery? Why should we have to live out my life not being able truly pursue the complete relationship we desire, while the vast majority of the world get's to? We did not choose to be this way. Why must we suffer? Satan loves to talk to us, doesn't he? Why is it that he is so taken with us, that he would put such burdens upon us? Not every person has to go through every day, keeping their desires in check because they long for an inappropriate partner. You want to know why? It is because he is afraid of us, and what we are meant to do under the power of God. He spends an extraordinary amount of time on trying to knock or keep us off our intended path. For those of us who know we are not walking the path God wishes us to, all we must do to test this theory is to attempt to get back on that path. Satan makes it appear that that path is just a few steps away. That we can hop right back onto it whenever we wish. It is not until we actually attempt to get back on that path that we realize how far we have strayed, and how many obstacles satan has placed between us and that path.
