I think there are multiple ways to interpret the message God gave RF. Unlike RF, I don't entirely believe (I used to, but not now) that God "made" us BL's, or that we are here for some sort of "purpose". No matter how liberally we interpret the Bible, there are just some passages that seem to condemn us (and the conservatives love them). To answer your question, I think God allowed the "weak" BL's to be sexually attracted to minors the same way that He lets other sins, perversions, and abnormalities into various people's lives. BL is not a perversion, but it's definitely an abnormality. You can succumb to alcohol and live a life as an alcoholic for years. BUT you can overcome it, with God's help and faith in Him. Those BL's were weak, true, and most of them probably didn't get caught by the police. I don't doubt that even some of us have been tempted and have failed in a similar situation before. But we're children, and we all sin. No matter how great the sin, God is our almighty Father, and He's always here to forgive us and to guide us onto the right path. In His eyes, molesting a child is no more serious than lying or stealing - they're all serious (but of course society necessarily thinks otherwise).

James says,

"Consider it pure joy, my brothers, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith develops perseverance. Perseverance must finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." 1:2-4

"Blessed is the man who perseveres under trial, because when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love him." 1:12

"When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; but each one is tempted when, by his own evil desire, he is dragged away and enticed. Then after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death." 1:13-15

We are all strong enough to endure and overcome all of life's obstacles, or God would not have made us. Those BL's you mentioned had the strength inside them; they just succumbed to the temptation. We Christian BL's are just as easily tempted as secular ones. It's a hard battle, all right.
