As best I can tell most Christian churches make a clear distinction between thoughts and behaviors (granted, Jimmy Carter and most others have been guilty of 'lust in the heart'). As far as I know, neither a celibate homosexual, celibate unmarried heterosexual, or celibate pedophile violate any mainline Christian denomination's interpretations of God's commands of sexual behavior. If anyone knows of a particular denomination that feels otherwise, please reply here. If you want to argue that God feels otherwise, post to Religious Debate Chat and post a pointer here. -d (david_tx on IRC) |
