Hi....thanks for your input..and you are correct in your analysis. My point, however, which actually complements yours, is that people tend to focus too much on Dos and Don'ts rather than the spirit thereof. As you so aptly put it, its not the letter of the law but the spirit thereof. Remember, that the spirit involve here is that of Love and Holiness, for it is God's Spirit. Not to argue for arguement's sake, nowhere in the Bible does it say that the law is summarized in the 10 Commandments...the two great commandments yes..but the 10 Commandments, no. Its like saying that God ordered the sacrament of marriage. Nowhere in the Bible does it say that...except the interpolation of God declaring the man and woman as one flesh. If I can go one step further...nowhere does it say in the Bible that it is wrong to have more than one wife. Now, I am not condoning extra-marital sex or polygamy..but we need to be extremely careful in distinguishing the Spirit of the WORD and that of tradition. In the Spirit of the Bible, blatant homosexual activity (sodomy) is abhored by GOD but GOD loves the homosexual as much as he does anyone else. In the spirit of tradition, homosexuals are monsters and pieces of shit and are by worse than adulterers, drug addicts, child (physical) abusers, et al.

Just my two cents,
john Guard

PS. I really appreciate you guys' input. Forgive me if I sound dogmatic...
