Understanding Jesus

Hello all -
I've enjoyed every discussion that's taken place in the past few months here and really appreciate all of your support. Once again I have to ask for some help in my own journey to understand God.

God has clearly become a part of my life and I don't see any possibility for that to change now. It has become so obvious how much I need God in my life and how valuable that relationship is and will become. The next area of difficulty for me is accepting Jesus as my savior and as the son of God. I've read all of the gospels and have been studying them with my Christian friend. I've read a few other books as well and am turning in every direction possible to see if I really do believe this. Maybe it is easier for those who are brought up Christian to make this decision, but for a Jew, who is taught to exclude Jesus, it is much more difficult. There is lots of evidence to suggest that Jesus was the son of God and that he was reserrected. But anyone can come up with counter arguments to any of the "proof". To me the most compelling evidence is the changes that took place in the lives of the disciples and in the lives of people over the next 2000 years. I'd like to hear stories of how YOUR lives might have been changed by Jesus, or stories of others (either from biblical stories or from modern times) who strengthened your faith in Jesus.

You are not alone.
