Chris - Thank you for your post. This forum is unquestionably helping me to grow in my faith, though I certainly cannot discount the 3 bible studies a week and Sunday church that I am also attending at the moment (not bad for a Jew :-) Your post, about us being the "lowest on the ladder" reminds me of the Parable of the Wedding Banquet... Matt 22:8 "...Then he said to his servants, `The wedding banquet is ready, but those I invited did not deserve to come. 9Go to the street corners and invite to the banquet anyone you find.' 10So the servants went out into the streets and gathered all the people they could find, both good and bad, and the wedding hall was filled with guests..." Jesus' point in this is that people are to be invited no matter how low they are, not because of any social standing, but because they will receive the invitation or listen to the call. 14"For many are invited, but few are chosen." How easy it was for nobles and friends of the King to have something else more important in their lives that they would skip the Wedding banquet. But for those whose eyes are open, to are willing to hear, and I most definately count myself (and most of you) among those, no matter who we are or how low we are, the invitation is there. Maybe it is because I am a BL, because I don't have the wonderful distractions of women and family and other blessings that those around me have, that I have needed to turn to God and to hear the call. You are not alone.
