I had a discussion with Jimf3 one time about what he thought the proportion was on the boylove boards of sexually active boylovers, socially celibate boylovers (those who are celibate for social or legal reasons, but who would have sex with boys if it were socially acceptable), and morally celibate boylovers (those who would not have sex with boys even if it were socially acceptable). He guessed that most of the people at BoyChat are socially celibate. It's awfully hard to determine this over the Internet, where deception of all sorts is easy, but my guess is that he's right. The reason that BoyChat seems so filled with sexually active boylovers is that a lot of socially celibate boylovers are the strongest advocates of changes to the laws to allow adult-child sex - thus, more than once I've had a long and furious argument with someone over adult-child sex, only to discover in the end that my opponent doesn't plan to have sex with children unless the laws change. On the other hand, I would say that the proportion of morally celibate boylovers is quite small. In fact, I'd guess that most of them are on this board. :) Heather |
