Hi Ben. Like you, I think that orientation is rarely changeable (but as Heather will point out, we should not discount those who say their orientation has changed). I did not mean that therapy should be used to change orientation, but rather to help the pedophile deal with his orientation; i.e., such as issues as self-esteem, developing close relationships, dealing with anger and frustration resulting from society's ignorance and hatred, etc. Similar to therapy that homosexuals often seek.
