hey guys, i have a prayer request, if i may be so bold. a friend of mine is awaiting his imminent jailing on child molestation charges. he will be in for a long time, with lots of parole time after. he will probably go inside sometime this week...and he is pretty down about it. he is worried about what will happen once he is inside..with good reason. he is a boylover, and the charges stem from his physical love of a boy....also keep in mind the boy too, as this must be pretty crazzy for him as well. thanks, i appreciate, and he sends his thanks in advance. on a positive note, i had a wonderfully inspiring thought today. i am privileged to be able to work with many different kids each day. unfortunately, most of them i will never see again. but, silly me, i went and fell in love today. this is not merely "i like how he looks" or "man, that was fun to hang out with him" but rather, i fell for him, HARD!!!! i dont know what happened, but i love him. the great thing, someday i will see him again. most of our groups are public schools, and most kids are not christian. but, this is a christian group, and these kids have accpeted christ in their lives and hearts!!!!! is that great or what? i am crying right now from the sheer joy of it! maybe that is one of the reasons i fell so hard for him... but anyway, someday i will meet him again in heaven,(and you all too) and i will definitely introduce him! BTW, i get to spend the next two days with him!! heaven on earth!!!!! (can you tell i am exhilirated???!!!) thanks from my friend... and may the Lord bless you as He has blessed me today... scott |
