What is Grace?

I have an interesting question here which I think is important for every Christian. What is grace..more specifically, what is God's Grace all about? Sometimes what we say and what we believe and what we do are just so inconsistent. We say that we are saved by God's Grace...and yet, we immediately demonize and "hellinize" people who do not fit our standards of what a Christian should be. To make things worse, our standards are often not even Biblical. I bet if our LORD is alive in the flesh right now as a human being, HE would be the main target of a LOT of religious leaders. They will probably call him a hedonist, a pervert, a liar, blasphemer, heathen, animal, et al. After two thousand years (or more)...people haven't changed. Sad...really sad. I am often reminded by the parable of the unforgiving servant. He gets forgiven but do not wish to forgive. Jesus said that if we harbor hatred in our hearts against our breathen, it is liken to murder. Also, if we harbor lust for a woman, it is liken to adultery/fornication. The Bible also says that all liars will go to hell. Hmmm...I wonder if the sin of just being a pedophile is so much worse than murder, adultery/fornication and dishonesty? When the LORD comes, I bet a lot of religious leaders/people will be surprise on where they will be heading...because they mock the sacrifice and love of GOD by emphasizing on works rather than Grace, Truth and Mercy.
