No, actually, I think you're on the right side of the line – you attacked Ben's ideas rather than him – but it would be nice, Jim, if you would just once come over to this support forum and post a supportive message. For example, you could have posted a message supporting those who disagreed with Ben's view (as in fact I do) – that would have put across the same point but without making you seem like a perpetual nay-sayer (which is how you must appear to those CBF members who aren't fortunate enough to be able to read your positive posts on BC). It's not so much what you say as how you say it that's disturbing. "You swallowed a crock of dog shit" – "Those boys really have you fucked up" – geez, Jim, if I used that sort of language to object to certain views on boylove, I'd be run out of town, and rightly so. Just try to recall the piece of etiquette that comes in handy in all situations; it's all right for a black person to call another black person a nigger, but for a white person to do so raises all sorts of problems. Of course, if the white person were to stick around the black people and be supportive of them, he could probably use any language he liked, and his thoughts would be appreciated as showing true concern. But if a white person only visits a black community once in a while, and then only to criticize what the black people are saying, his criticisms do tend to come across, not as genuine concern for the other person's welfare, but as flaming.
