I agree with you on your interpretation of Numbers and Matthew. I wasn't quoting Numbers because I thought it offered support for boylove sex (I doubt that anyone here would believe that it does). I quoted it because it offers an example of adult-child sex in the Bible. Incidentally, it also gives the lie to the Seventh-day Adventist statement I received a while ago that says, "The Bible condemns child sexual abuse in the strongest possible terms" – that's only true if you take the Bible as a whole. Since part of the problem with the debate over what the Bible says about sexuality has been the tendency of people to quote verses in isolation from other texts in the Bible that might counter them, I suppose that this passage is a strong reminder of how important it is to look at the Bible as a whole.
