Dear Heather,

Thank you for that post. I know the difficulties with language and transcendence. I often had to create new meanings to words after my transcence, as everything changes and everthing becomes new. Yes, I agree with you that such spiritual transcencence might not necessarily be experienced by church people (mostly it does not asthey are too stuck with dogmas). I have seen the phenomenon as quite universal. Personally I see it as the maturing of the soul (or the psychological self). Does this make any sense to you? I am sure that this phenomenon is the same as what Jesus refers to when he speaks of "entering the kingdom of heaven". Others refer to it as enlightenment or nirvana etc. Many cultures many words for the same thing. However this quest for enlightenment was not encouraged by the church as they prefered to see the followers as sinners, not as saints.
I feel there has to be done a lot of rethinking to what the messages of Jesus,Buddha, and Lao Tsu etc. is really about. From my experience they are all talking about the same thing.

The spiritual road was hard work, and I had to do this without any help or encouragement. I have not found many like minded people, have you?

With Love, Gerald.
