Dear Friend, I have experienced a near simular situation as you discribed. I also handled it identical to what you did. In doing so I, like you, rejected the clear signs of love and intimacy that the boy was asking from me. In retrospect, like you I did the best thing in terms of security, but the wordst in terms of love. I cannot forget the look of hurt that the boy gave me. In an ideal society I should have answered to the call of love and teach the boy an intimacy that will serve him for the rest of his life. In my opinion, the boy was right, as what he did was part of his normal development at that age, it is society that is sick and screwed up that does not allow a normal development and forces such boys into accepting a morality that is seriously lacking.
