In general, I am silent on issues surrounding homosexual behavior within the church because: 1) I am divided inside of myself, and cannot take a firm stand at the moment 2) my denomination is divided within itself (many are), and even though it takes a stand on some issues, internal forces constantly try to tear down that stand and replace it with the opposing one (which in turn will cause the new minority to try to tear it down and replace it with their stand). This has been going on for well over a decade and promises to continue until either something gives (say, a split in the denomination) or until enough people die off or take more moderate views. My silence on the battle between SGitNW and Jim is mostly due to boredom, however, not internal division. -David ("d") |
