Who we are in Christ

Hi Everyone, The last time I did one of these posts it started quite a flame war. I don't blame Jimf3, of course, because I know that he has a lot of questions and a lot of problems with the Christian faith. At least he is always searching for answers, and I see that as a good thing, really. I do hope he comes back around from time to time. Anyway, hee is another part in my study of "who we are in Christ Jesus". When we accept Jesus into our hearts and lives, we become children of the living God. And because of this, God looks at us in a whole diferent way, He looks at us like a loving father would look at his child. We actually ARE "born again", but this time we are born into God's family! So here is another study in scripture that will help us to know more about our new selves and our new family. "We are forgiven of all our sins and washed in the Blood." "In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace." Eph. 1:7 "How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered Himself without spot to God, cleanse your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?" Heb. 9:14 "If we confess our sins, He is faithfull and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." 1 John:1:9 "being justified freely by His grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus, whom God set forth as a propitation by His blood, through faith, to demonstrate His righteousness, because in His forbearance God had passed over the sins that were previously commited, to demonstrate at the present time His righteousness, that He might be just and the justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus."
