My friend and I had quite a chuckle over your title so no need to worry. :) I'm not saying that your love is not unconditional, inside. The worry arises from what people see outside. Remember, for us, we need to be beyond reproach in words and DEEDS. And, if our bodies betray us, we are damned with no thought of parole...at least in the public's mind. As I am an atheist, I can't really tell you what to do with respect to your God but I can give warning about the minds of man. Consider: You pay a little more attention to one boy than you do another (unintentionally, of course) but the other boy has "feelings" for you as well. You are not validating his feelings. He gets jealous. What better way to get back at you than to "cry wolf"? It's happened before to totally innocent victims. So you really shouldn't be so blaise about what COULD happen. It may never happen, but the possibility exists. As to how you can get rid of these feelings: You can't. Plain and simple. But you can subvert them by focusing on other things. Run a mathematical problem over and over in your head if you have to. Focus on something complicated that will take your mind off the boys at those "critical" moments when you first start thinking about it. It won't be easy but it is possible to divert your attention for short spans of time...with a LOT of practice. Love |
