Thanks for the response. There are of course exceptions to everything. If a straight man sees a women, even a women he is sexually attracted to, in some kind of trouble his feelings probably would not come into play. Just as if I saw some kid fall out of a tree I would of course feel compelled to help in some way without first thinking about the opprotunity. But you need evaluate a little deeper. Do you think we would be as quick or as good at helping adults in need? Would we have the same kind of patience for an adult alcoholic that we would for a drug addicted teen? I doubt it. We would feel that "brotherly bond" also when another was in need. But our, excluding all of the saintly BLs, time would sooner be spent tending to any need no matter how small of a boy then it would be tending to say...an old mans need, no matter how great. If you agree with that then the question of why we are like that arises. And what I am saying is that it is because of our natural desire to love boys. And that "love" is most likey the result of our desire for boy sex.
I mean examples and great analogies are everywhere. Think of a man courting a women and vice versa...and that proverbial child has a great need to feel loved is overlooked because of the twos desire the get each other into bed. In that situation the childs needs are much more important than theirs but they dont notice and even if they did may not do anything because of that animalistic need for sex. Now try to follow. Go back to us tending to the kids homework while an old man lies starving out on the street and the point should be clear. Our "brotherly bond" and compassion is stronger for the objects of our affection. And, I imagine, it is the same way for straight or homosexual men. This is just a little irrelevent to our discussion but I mentally put myself into a situation yesterday. I wonder what I would do if on Sunday morning while I was getting into my car to go to church some chubby, brown haired boy (my tastes) walked by and asked me if I would like to go back to his house and go swimming while his parents were away on vacation? Thats sort of at the oppisite end of the scale of "eternal life in heaven with Jesus or eternal life in heaven with all of the boys at the local junior high school" (from and earlier post) but sometimes going to extremes like that makes what we would choose crystal clear. Because, I for one, am not sure if I could get into that car and leave that lil' cherub standing there. Thanks for listening to my rambling.
