It's more poetical than the other three and IMO of the highest literal quality. I think you know that there were dozens of Evangelii - like the Evangelium of the Hebrews, of Judas (not J. Ischariot I think!),... I think it was hard to judge which ones to be Biblical and which ones to call apokryptic. But I've heard that some of the most beautiful Evangelii were dropped. Like that of the Hebrews. Sigh... |
