Hi Everyone,

Although I am not an advocate for child/adult sex, I have to share this bit of news I found in the newspaper. It seems that researchers from Philadelphia and Baltimore have written the results of a study they conducted involving the long-term affects of child sexual abuse. I quote:

"The research, which was published in an APA journal, concluded that the long-term affects of child sexual abuse are not as serious as many believe and that scientists should classify sexual encounters between adults and children according to the age and "willingness" of the child. The report was based on an analysis of 59 previous studies involving college students who had been sexually abused before the age of 18."

Sounds like it could be a posative scientific study, right? Well, it looks like the APA (American Psychological Association) has rejected the research after conservative groups (wonder who they are, don't you?) argued that the study was an attempt to (get this) legitamize pedophilia and that it could be used to justify child sexual abuse.

Now, like I said, I am NOT an advocate for child/adult sex, but I think this research, and the actions of the APA, have tragic implications for all of us boylovers. Think about it, now the APA is concerned with the legitimization of pedophilia as a whole. It looks like just another example of how our government likes to ignore facts or research in favor of the opinion of "conservative groups" (whom the article would not name, but I think we can guess who they are.).

I for one am glad I love and trust the Lord, but it is still a sad state for us all I think.

Love,
Chris
