Hi Von, I could not say it any better than my brother, Jules. However, I did want to add that I know in my own life that no matter what happens, God absolutely loves His children and wants only good for them (us). He might put us through some trials in life, but it is never, ever, to just simply punnish you and watch you "squirm". He loves you, Von, with His whole huge heart! I have had plenty of trials in my own life, in fact, I am going through some really nasty ones right now. I have totally lost my house to the bank, I have just about lost my job, and tomorrow I go in for hernia surgery. Sounds like God is pretty ticked off at me, dosen't it? Von, nothing could be further from the truth. I know that I am going through some trials right now, but almost always (probably always...no almost about it.) it is to build my faith in Him. He wants us to rely on Him completely, and this kind of faith isn't easy to gain. So I guess, in a way, the old saying "no pain, no gain" makes a lot of sense in our walk with God. He loves you, Von, and He wants you to grow closer to Him by and through faith. He will provide for your needs, His Word says that. He will never leave you nor forsake you either...His Word says that too. You are His child and God is the perfect father. I am learning now how not to be worried about my future, but to trust God and live my life in faith, one day at a time. It is not easy at times, but I have found that God is very, very faithful to the promises in His Word. I am praying for you, brother. Oh, and welcome to CBF!!! You are very welcome here!
