Hi Chris, I'm pretty sure our friend Honesty would have a thing or two to say about Pentecostalism and the "Winning Team"...and I suspect I might just agree with him too... Personally, I see "dangerous delusions" on both sides of this homosexuality debate. Seems to me sometimes everyone is wrong. Today I was reading a tract titled "Does the Bible condemn homosexuality? No!". A pro-gay leaflet. It was saying the Bible doesn't really condemn homosexuality, because those verses were actually talking about pedarasty, which was destructive. Well my best response was, if it was so destructive, why did one of the ancient Greek loved boys in adulthood erect a monument in memory of the man he still loved? [Heather, do you have a reference to this event?] Everyone twists things around to see what they want to see. The gays do it, the conservatives do it. You have to take everyone with a grain of salt. Sometimes I think maybe the best thing is to be asexual. It is sad, the contempt you see in God's people. And, like I say, you get that same attitude amongst Gay Christians, just as you do among the mainstream believers. Is there hope for any of us? On another note, I was supposed to meet with a minister from church to talk about homosexuality. But I got the time of the meeting wrong! Maybe next week. He promised he'd take my concerns seriously.
